Code What It Means
S When you send a message, an S will appear. This means the message has been sent to the server(s). If this does not appear you should check your connect to the internet.
D Once a message has been sent to the server(s), next it is delivered to your friend's phone. This is indicated as being delivered by marking the conversation with a D. If our servers have your message, but you are not seeing a D this could indicate your friend is not connected to the internet, or their phone is not on.
Faded D A faded D appears next to messages sent to iPhone's and Windows Phones. It means that we have sent the push notification of your message to the recipient but they haven't opened the app to receive the message on their phone. Once they open the app, you will see a solid D - explained above.
R You will see an R when your friend has opened the conversation and read the message(s). If your message is only showing a D, this means it has been delivered to your friend but they have not yet read this message.
